Mount Kenya university students during a walk to remember genocide committed against the Tusti in Rwanda during 1994. The event took place on7th April 2014 in Kigali and was attended by a host of world leaders including the UN secretary general Ban Ki- moon.
The leaders called on Genocide survivors to stand firm and work hard for a better Rwanda. In his address to the nation and the visiting delegates, Rwandan President, H.E Paul Kagame said, “ after 1994, our people were completely broken, but we made three fundamental choices that guide us to this day which include: choosing to stay together, to be accountable to ourselves and to think big”.
Since opening a campus in Rwanda in August, 2010 Kenya University has been playing a big role in enhancing Education in the country.
