Objectives of the programme
Upon completion of the prescribed course of study for Diploma in Community Development and Social Work the graduate will have acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to:

Minimum Entry Requirements
The following are the minimum requirements for registration into Diploma in Community Development and Social Work Programme
Either
1. Be a holder of aggregate grade of C in KCSE and grade C- in Mathematics and English. Or
2. Be a holder of KCE certificate with a Division III in KCE with credit passes in mathematics and English Or
3. Be holder of an accredited certificate with a credit pass that is recognized by the University Senate Or
4. Be a holder of any other qualification accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to any of the above
Course Duration
The Diploma in Community Development and Social Work shall normally be offered over a minimum of one (1) year of study, usually called academic years and a maximum of (2) years
