Posta Kenya enters into a deal with MKU & TV47
Posta Kenya has today (25/9/2020) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Mount Kenya University and its’ affiliate free to air television station TV47.
The three organisations aim to jointly contribute to fostering development of cooperation, relationships and collaboration through jointly participating in Corporate Social Responsibility, Communications & Courier Services and Sporting activities. MKU will be in a position to effectively and efficiently achieve her mission of teaching, research and community outreach. TV47 will support the two institutions through their communication needs.
Post Master General Dan Kagwe (L) MKU Vice Chancellor Prof. Stanley Waudo and TV47 CEO Abubakar Abdullahi hold the signed MOAs documents , which will see the three organizations cooperate in areas of mutual interest.
This agreement will see Posta Kenya offer internship and employment opportunities to MKU students as well as engaging MKU students in development and testing opportunities to marketing its new innovations targeting the youth; so far Posta Kenya has youth targeted innovations such as Mpost, EMS2GO, and E-njiwa among others. Through the partnerships there will be enhanced ecommerce innovations like timeshare lockers/boxes and establishment of model post office in the university.
MKU students who excel in sporting activities now have better chances to shine since Posta Kenya will be organizing joint sporting activities with MKU to nurture and support sporting talents among students as well as to scout and recruit talented MKU sportsmen/women

The MoU will support joint corporate social responsibility activities, with the aim of promoting initiatives of mutual interest and touching lives of communities.
For Mount Kenya University this is another Public-Private-Partnership that comes after the existing Partnership with Thika Level 5 hospital, Kiambu County where the University developed a state-of-the- art General Kago Funeral home cum Medical School Anatomy Lab. Mr. Daniel Kagwe, Postmaster General, cited that Public-Private- Partnerships have become an integral part of our country in ensuring continuation of business and its sustainability.
The Abdullahi Abubakar, Chief Executive Officer TV47, gave assurance that the media house will support the two institutions in their endeavours and commended the Public-Private- Partnership for social economic development especially for the youth
