The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deogratius JAGANYI is delighted to announce the Mount Kenya University Annual Alumni Award 2025 and to invite you to nominate an outstanding graduate for this prestigious recognition.
AWARD CATEGORIES
The Most Outstanding Alumni Award will recognize individuals in one or more of the following categories:
- Community Service – Outstanding dedication to societal development.
- Professional Excellence – Demonstrated distinction in a chosen career or field.
- Public Service and Leadership – Significant contributions in governance, policy, or community leadership.
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship –Impact in business, technology, or social enterprise.
- Global Impact – Contributions with international influence or recognition.
THE WINNER RECEIVES:
- Up to a maximum of USD 50,000 in support of initiatives that advance community impact, support professional growth and promote values aligned with MKU’s mission
- Alumni certificate of recognition
- Awardees’ name shall be inscribed on the MKU Alumni Wall of Honour
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible, nominees must:
- Be a graduate of MKU
- Proven, sustained contributions in chosen area of impact.
- Exhibit integrity, professionalism, and values consistent with the University’s mission.
NOT ELIGIBLE:
- MKU Employees, University Council members or individuals with a conflict of interest.
- Current MKU Alumni Executive Council members
NOMINATION PROCESS:
- Nominations open 10th September, 2025 and deadline for nominations: October 15th, 2025

- Only complete submissions will be considered
