MBA Small Business Management Application Deadline: 25 July, 2025

Mount Kenya University (MKU) under the framework of ACCESS International Master Consortium (IMC), ACCESS Project is pleased to announce a call for expressions of interest for one staff exchange program under the ACCESS 2.0 program. This program aims to foster academic collaboration and enhance teaching and research capacities between ACCESS Partners. The School of Business and Economics, Mount Kenya University, seeks a Guest Lecturer to support the MBA (Small Business Management) in the September-December 2025 Trimester.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Teaching at 3-6 hours weekly within the MBA programme. More about the programme: A Leading University for Master of Business Administration in Kenya – Mount Kenya University
  2. Supervising 1 master’s students and contributing to the ongoing review of the MBA problem-based service-learning module
  3. Participation in conferences, events, and contributions to publications and project proposals in the School of Business And Economics is highly encouraged.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completed Ph.D. degree in Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  2. Currently employed as a senior lecturer or associate professor in business management or a related field at KNUST (Ghana), INES (Rwanda), AAU (Ethiopia) or University of Ibadan (Nigeria).
  3. Endorsement from the COH/HOD/Dean of relevant school at home university confirming the designation level.
  4. Proven experience in international research and publication.
  5. Fluent English language proficiency.

PROGRAMME SUPPORT

  1. A 3-month contract. Possible duration from 1 September 2025 to 30 November 2025.
  2. Salary: Senior Lecturer €1,300 per month.
  3. International travel expenses (flights costs) will be covered.
  4. Assistance with finding accommodation within Nairobi.
  5. A dynamic international and interdisciplinary work environment.
  6. Access to research facilities at Mount Kenya University.
