Mount Kenya University (MKU) Medical School has been ranked No. 1 in Kenya in the latest East African Community (EAC) audit assessing compliance with quality standards for training medical doctors.

According to the audit findings, only 3 out of 13 medical schools in Kenya fully meet the required benchmarks for medical training. Mount Kenya University emerged as the most compliant institution, achieving a score of 82%, followed closely by Maseno University at 81% and Kisii University at 80%.
